One step at a time...

Today's training: 4 mile tempo with half mile cool down.
Year total: 596 miles

Week one is coming to a close. I am slowly getting back in to the groove of organized training again. The one thing I am noticing is that I feel slower, but I'm not. It's something I remember feeling during marathon training, but a feeling I need to get use too.

After work today I set off on my four mile run. I try to use these "shorter" runs as pace runs. I wanted to be around 8:20-8:25 per mile. I averaged 8:22 so pretty perfect.

After a stormy Western Pa morning, humidity re-entered our lives. Thus making my mid afternoon run quite warm. I decided to make the decision to run in a sports bra.

To most people, this shouldn't be a real problem. I have been little all of my life, but not really comfortable with it. It's only been since my progress with running that I have been able to do this. Let me tell you, it is a freeing experience to feel comfortable enough with yourself to expose, well yourself.

After a nice run, I arrived home to my new Runners World magazine. A few months ago I responded to a post they made about advice while training. I got a response about my advice and told it would make it in the issue! Well, in the September 2013 issue of Runners World, I am in it.
