Disney World!!!

We have hit the two month mark until the Disney Marathon!!! Excitment for the marathon is slightly overshadowed by my sheer want of an escape from the Pennsylvania winter and WE'RE GOING TO DISNEY WORLD!!!!

I absolutely love following Run Disney on all sorts of social media, especially during race weekends. The Wine and Dine half marathon was last weekend and it made my excitment grow, only slightly.

This trip is going to be extremely special to me. You see, I was 20 years old the first time I went to Disney. I went with my now husband and in-laws. While having a magical dinner in Cinderella's castle, Joe got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. It was awesome, and made Disney that much more special.

Our last trip to Disney was in Feburary 2012. I wanted to make it special again, so my mother and brother decided to make the trip with us. It was my brothers first time in Disney and the first time the three of us have been on vacation together in years. The highlight of this specific trip was spending valentines day with my mom, brother and husband in Epcot drinking around the world. We all just had fun, and it was something I will never forget.

So for this trip, it is extra EXTRA exciting because I will be running my fourth half marathon and second full marathon AND my husband will be "running" his first half marathon. I use the term running loosely because, while my husband is athletic, he has barely been training. While I am not concerned with time for the half since I have a full the next day, I know he will be upset if he does not do well. This will be his first and only half marathon, and I just want him to enjoy it.

So since we are running the half together, I wanted us to dress up in outfits. Something fun for this fun event that we get to do together! Well, after months of trying to figure out fun outfits, I decided we were going to be Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum, only if I would be Tweedle Dum. Here are some loose adaptations of our outfits.

I will be tweeking them for us. I won't be running in a tank, but have some sort of sleeves and we won't have hats. In all, I'm very excited for this!

Training for this race has been going very well. I remember being this far into my last marathon training and realizing I had hurt myself (bone bruise on the bottom of my foot) and knew I wasn't going to do as good as I thought I would. Minus the sinus infection from a few weeks ago, I've felt really good and I'm very focused on feeling better during this marathon.

So as we get close, I will get more excited everyday. I will constantly look at different running costumes online and different pictures from different Disney races.

What can I say, I love some Disney magic =)
