Recovery Week 10.20 - 10.26

I did exactly what I promised I would do, I took an entire weeks rest after the marathon. I had huge plans for this week! 

They included:  

A hot date with my stick! Hubba hubba!

A whole lot of eating which included the most amazing cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory! 

Celebration beverages! 

Plus tons of downtime with Dangle and the hubby! 

The only side affect I have from the marathon is a toenail that will be falling off. My first. I am not looking forward to it. 

I started getting very moody around Thursday. I snapped at someone at work and realized I needed to get a few miles in. Luckily Chelsea agreed to run slowly with me on the most gorgeous October Sunday morning ever! 

So this week I ran seven miles. I have 98.3 miles for October and 1,025 miles for 2014. 

Next week I will be easing back in to training. My Rock N Roll NOLA training starts November 3! I have pretty much figured out my training and I am super excited about trying a new plan! 


  1. Ughh I'm going to lose one too (thanks to having that second toe longer than the first!) The good thing is that they grow back :)

  2. I see we basically had the same type of week. It was so hard to not go for a run
