Recovery Week 10.27 - 11.2

Happy November everyone! I am in shock that is it November! September and October were such a blur!

This week was my second recovery week post Columbus Marathon. I wanted to use this week to push myself a little in my runs to see how I should attack my next training plan. 

So, I had three runs this week for 20 miles. I finished October with 108.3 miles and have 1,045 miles for 2014. 

I FINALLY finished my training plan for New Orleans. It is a 12 week training plan and I am going to attempt a sub-4. I am in really good shape right now, and this is my last marathon attempt for awhile. It won't be a sub-4 or bust kind of attitude, more like - I will try my hardest! 

Here goes nothing...

I will be doing one day a week on track. There is a possibility that there will be one day on treadmill, just to get ready for the flatness that is this course. 

Yes, that says it goes from zero to 15 feet!

Like most runners, I spent this morning watching the NYC Marathon. What a great race for both the men and women! I don't think I can express the emotions I had watching Kara crying to the finish line. She is such a strong woman and an amazing competitor! Even as she was crying in her post race interview, her son Colt leaned over and kissed her on the cheek! 

My hero!

In the coming weeks I will be releasing some information on the Second Annual December Run Challenge! I have some awesome prizes to give away and cannot wait to virtually run with all of you!

  1. You are going to go run your sub-4. I have complete faith that you can do it! And I'm hoping I can be there to see it!

  2. Oh my gosh, my eyes definitely started to well up during Kara's interview! I think we've all been there - going into a race that you've trained SO hard for only to have to not go as planned is a total heartbreaker!
    I can't wait to follow along as you go for sub 4!!

  5. Good luck on training for yor next marathon. I think you can go sub 4 no problem, you already have columbus training and the race going Into this training so you should be ahead of schedule
