December Run Challenge: Week One

December is here!! Let’s get the December Run Challenge started!

Fun facts to remember about the December Run Challenge:

- It does not matter how many miles you do. Just report back some sort of mileage each week and be entered for that weeks specific prize!

- It is not a running streak! If you want to streak through December, by all means!

- After you finish your workouts, tag #DecemberRunChallenge through social media and tag me (sas_rubel)! Since I am booted for at least another nine days, I love seeing what you guys are up to!

- There will be a flash challenge through the week. It will be posted through my different social media. If you participate, you get an extra entry into the raffle for this week!

I am so happy to have Handana be the week one prize! One winner will get a gift certificate for their own Handana.

Handana is a wristband made of Supplex Lycra fabric that allows you to wipe and wick away sweat while working out. It is a gender neutral product that comes in a variety of sizes and colors. Their manifesto is simple: "To inspire others to cross their finish line no matter where it is in life and to empower others along the way."

Handana was created by Katie Niemerte, who is a Stevens-Johnson SJS survivor. SJS is a severe allergic drug reaction  Her eyes were super sensitive because of this and discovered that marathon training was pretty rough with the sweat dripping in her eyes. Katie was even featured on the Steve Harvey show talking about SJS.

Handana works well for a bunch of sports including yoga, hiking, biking and racquet sports! They are fantastic on social media as well! I know this is a big one for me! Make sure you give them a follow on Twitter Facebook and Instagram for some awesome deals and thank them for participating in the December Run Challenge!!

So get out there everyone! Make me proud! Know I am here to motivate all of you this week! Stay tuned for the flash challenge later this week! I am looking forward to seeing all of your photos/tweets!

  1. YAY! Thank you for hosting this, Steff! I'm a loser...already forgot to post something after my run this morning, but I'll do better tomorrow - ha! I hope you are feeling better and that you can get rid of that boot soon, but I want you to get healed up nicely, no matter what. Hope you had a great Thanksgiving!
