Barefooters Review

During the stress fracture, I was on twitter talking to some people when a company called Barefooters contacted me. They wanted to send me one of their products to help me “get back on my feet” as soon as possible. Of course I accepted! They asked for my shoe size and address and said they would send something over. Seriously! This happened, I’m not kidding!

A few days later, I received my Barefooters Classic in Sky Blue.

As soon as I got them out of the box, I had to put them on my good foot!

The shoe itself is made from CorksiLite.

CorksiLite is a mix of cork and silicone, and it helps promote natural movement in your step, which essentially simulates barefoot walking!

Even though they look a little like Crocs, Barefooters also include a cork insole that they call an Oooaaahs Reflex. It is a really thick insole that forces your foot to sit in a certain place. It also feels REALLY GOOD! I noticed it pushed the correct spots on my feet that were starting to feel the pressure from wearing the boot.

Barefooters are completely earth and vegan friendly. They are moisture wicking and are washable! The sole is really thick so you do not have to worry about your Barefooters falling apart. There are zero seams on the Barefooters so you do not have to worry about getting blisters!

When I could finally wear both my Barefooters at the same time, I was so in love! I wear them everywhere, even in the winter! Like I said, the sole is so study and supportive I have no fear of slipping!

The Barefooters Classic also comes with interchangeable straps so you can change things up! I haven’t done it yet, but I am sure I will in the upcoming months!

If you are interested in ordering a pair, a slight heads up on sizing. I gave them my shoe size, and the pair I got is a half size smaller. I am glad they sent me the smaller size. I do have skinny feet and I have zero problems with the size!

I cannot thank Barefooters enough for sending me these! They are an awesome social media company, which you guys know I love, and they completely back up their product! If you have any questions, check them out on Twitter! They will get back to you super quick!

Do you use specific recovery shoes? Which do you use and why?

Disclaimer: I was given a pair of Barefooters in exchange for this review. All opinions are my own.

  1. I have never heard of those, but they sound wicked cool. They're even washable?? Wow!

  2. I've never used a recovery shoe, but your review makes me want to try them! When you say washable, do you mean I can hand wash them in my sink, or that I can put them in the washer?

I do wish they didn't look so much like Crocs though :-/

  3. Hey, I've seen these before and I want some! I can't remember where I saw them, but they look super comfy and easy to wear. I'm so glad you were able to try them out, Steff; thanks for the review!

  4. Soooo, do they feel much like wearing plastic shoes? (I have a weird touch sensitivity to strange materials.)

They do not feel like plastic, more like rubber. Very light and not restrictive!

They wipe clear very easily. I have cleaned them in my laundry tub, but I wouldn't machine wash!

I hadn't heard of them before twitter! They are so awesome!
