The Week That Was 2/2 - 2/8

This week was about slowly getting back in to running. Recovery from NOLA was a little rougher than I thought. My calf muscles would not loosen no matter how hard I tried. I knew I had to take it easy this week. 

I also ended up with some sort of bug Friday. I've been battling it but it also affected my training this week. 

I had four workouts this week for 15 miles. That is my February total and 125 miles towards my 1,200 mile goal in 2015. 

Fittsburgh and Lululemon sponsored a free yoga Sunday morning. Chelsea and I decided to check it out. I have never done a yoga class before and there were TONS of people there! 

They are offering yoga every Sunday at 10am this month. We plan on going again! 

Next weekend is the Valentine's Day 15K. I know a ton of people are heading out for this race! If you see me, please say hello! I love meeting my readers and I promise to take a ton of selfies! I'm not sure how this race is going to go, but I hope to build a nice base towards DC next month! 

Joe and I will be celebrating Valentine's Day on the 13th. Hopefully the weather cooperates and we can head to the outlets! 

I wish I had more for all of you today! I promise to be more interesting next week!

  2. Steff, I'm so glad you & Chelsea decided to go to this class and I'm glad you enjoyed it! Something a little different is usually fun for me, like the class I took yesterday. Thankfully, your "bug" didn't hang around too long-ugh. Sounds like you are taking care of yourself and recovering appropriately, so way to go!   3. I've never had a yoga class either! I feel like I'm the only one too. I would like to try.

  4. I want to take a yoga class one day! I'm just nervous that I will laugh at how inflexible I am the whole time ;-)

  5. I want to take yoga! A Hot yoga place just opened near us that I'd love to try out. Maybe after this marathon I'll give it a go! We had the stomach bug and it lasted about 12 hours but I didn't feel right for about 3 days after. It was awful, but much worse seeing my babes suffering. Have a great week friend!

  6. I had the bug for 6 weeks over the holiday. It was no joke! Hope you are feeling better soon! I love yoga and wish I did it more often!!
