The Week That Was 2/9 - 2/15

This week I made a promise to myself. I was going to start moving forward from the past few months and focus on what is coming up. It has been two months since I have been out of the boot, and I am done having the stress fracture define me! It is no longer a comeback, it is full on training for a half marathon PR!!

So, this week I had five workouts totaling 25 miles. I have 40 miles this month and 150 miles towards my 1,200 mile 2015 goal! 

I will recap my 15K race later in the week, but I did make my 12 mile long run goal with splitting up my runs. My first workout was a tempo run on rolling hills and it felt so good to do that workout! My fastest mile was 8:10 and I couldn't believe it! 

A big thing this week was I only used KT Tape once this week, for the race. Everything has felt really good and I need to trust that things are healed enough! 

I saw that PRO Conpression had a few if their grab bags left for calf sleeves in my size. I bit the bullet and ordered them and I was so excited that I did!! 

Hubby and I celebrated Valentine's Day on Friday by traveling to the outlets and saving some money! We had a really nice day together, which is what it's all about. I'm not the type that makes a big deal over Valentine's Day. 

I ended up skipping free yoga this week since it was -3 degrees with a wind chill of -25 when I woke up this morning. I promise, I did some rolling today and will be enjoying my protein shake here soon. I am so ready for this winter to be over. It was close to 40 earlier this week, now below zero! I made the mistake of looking at the weather in Disney, yeah big mistake! 

Why Steff, Why!?!

I will be spending a whole lot of time on the treadmill in the coming week. I'm hoping to get outside next weekend when it's in the 30's (hopefully). I have found some interesting treadmill workouts that I will test out for you all and let you know how they go!

    Thanks Shaun! I'll be running rock n roll DC next month. My goal spring race is the Pittsburgh 5k. Goal race for the year is the Akron half in September.

  3. Looks like a great weekend! I live 35 minutes from Disney and we have had back to back beautiful weekends here! In the 70's! Not so much of a fan of the treadmill- but I know it is necessary where you live- have a great week!

  4. It is really warm here in Texas! My favorite treadmill workout is intervals!

  5. Treadmill workouts always make them a little easier! If I'm adjusting the speed I don't go quite as crazy :-)

  6. Polka dots rock! I love those sleeves! Good job this week. I've been enjoying a closer relationship with the treadmill myself.. I've stopped resisting it. haha.
