The Week That Was 3/2 - 3/8

Spring forward everyone!!! Hopefully you all have started to experience the thaw. It has been a CRAZY week for me, but through it all I made sure I did all I could!

This week I had four workouts for 24 miles. For March I have 26 miles and 226 miles toward my 2015 goal of 1,200 miles.

With the crazy weather we had last week in Pittsburgh, my basement ended up flooding. My treadmill is in my basement so I had to miss a day of training. It ended up being not so bad. Since that extra rest day, my shins have been feeling so much better. Everything happens for a reason, I guess!

We also experience Winter Storm Thor. Thor dumped six inches of snow on us and made the temps drop back below zero. Ugh.

Luckily we thawed out nicely and I am so excited for what is coming!!

I also need to thank you all, I hit another social media milestone this week! I now have over 1,000 Instagram followers!!

We also celebrated Dangle's adoption day this week! She has been with us for three years already.

I decided to break up with my Garmin. It has been a three year run with each other and I have finally had enough. After my five mile run this week, my battery was completely drained. AFTER ONE FIVE MILE RUN BEING FULLY CHARGED! I found a Soleus watch on Amazon on an amazing deal and decided to go for it. I can't wait to review it for you guys!

I am so excited for Rock n Roll DC next weekend! I am really looking forward to having a great weekend with my friends and hopefully a really good race. I'm feeling really good right now and the weather looks alright.

Also, don't forget! Today is the last day to enter my Sparkly Soul giveaway! You can also save 15% on your order through 3/10 with the promo code STEFFANY. You can enter the giveaway here

Did you get outside to enjoy the nicer weather? How will your training be affected by the warmer temps?

  1. Oh wow, yeah I'd be breaking up with my Garmin too if it drained after 5 miles! I hope the Soleus works for you! That's a great pic of you guys & Dangle! She totally has that mischievous but lovable cat look.
We flooded pretty badly here too. Boo! :( I'm so happy the forecast looks so great this week!!
