Akron Half Marathon Training: Week Eight

It is the half way point of training! It seems like it just started. I have noticed a difference in myself and my running in the past eight weeks. I just want to stay injury free the next half of training and give this race everything I have! 


This week I had five workouts that totaled 32 miles. For August I have 12 miles and 722 miles towards my 2015 goal of 1,200 miles. 



I added up my July miles and was completely shocked! 


I decided to cheer at the St. Barnabus 5K Saturday morning and had a great time! Most of these people will be running in Akron. If we have even half the fun we had in September, it's going to be a great weekend!



Who watched the Ronda Rousey fight? I watched it the next day and HOLY CRAP! Homegirl is incredible. I love the fact that she does not apologize for who she is and just kicks ass! Plus, she dedicated her fight to Roddy Piper and that was so awesome. She is truly an inspiration to women everywhere. Keep doing you Ronda!

After my Pro Compression calf sleeve grab bag got lost in the mail, it showed up Saturday! I was so excited to get a pair of boom sleeves! This is the first time I got a color I already own. 


I also wanted to give a big WELCOME to all my new teammates! Oiselle opened team spots for the VolĂ©e team this week. I have started following most new members, but I want to connect with everyone!
