Louisiana Marathon Training: Week Eight

It was back to running this week. It's strange to be tapering after taking a week off. It's all about staying healthy and getting to the finish line that way! 


This week I had four workouts for 20 miles. That is my total for January and 2016! I am super happy to report all of my miles were pain free and everything seems to be getting back to normal!


This week was crazy! Between getting ready to leave, starting to run again and I had some dental work done too. Saturday night I was so exhausted that I slept for over 10 hours! I can't tell you the last time I slept that long. Plus with the crazy wind and snow that happened on Sunday, I was super glad I own I treadmill. 


I finished packing for Louisiana today! I packed about six different race outfits. Not joking. I'm not sure how it's going to feel down there and I HATE not being prepared. Weather overall looks pretty awesome so I couldn't be happier. 


I signed up for the Akron Marathon!! I am so excited to complete that journey this year. I just love the Akron Marathon weekend so much and I'm excited for another fantastic experience. 


I have one run left before we leave. I can't believe it's already here! I am so excited for this trip and this race!
