The Week That Was: 3.21 - 3.27

This week was a wee bit crazy. I had tons to do and of course not enough time. The plan for this week was to do two things,

1. Run back to back days. 
2. Run 20 miles this week. 


Monday I did a 25 minute kettle bell workout. In between sets I did some burpees, squats and push-ups. Oh man did that hurt, but in a great way! It was amazing. 


Tuesday was the monthly Mojo happy hour run. I got asked to host it this time so I wanted to get my run in before hand. It was a beautiful day, besides the wind, and my legs felt really good. After my first five mile loop I had enough time to add three more miles. Eight total. It was great!


Wednesday I worked all day so it was a much needed rest day. 

Thursday I had every intention of running. Then I found out that a very good friend of mine from college was in town and I dropped everything to go see him. I had an awesome time getting to go down and see the new people who are working down at my college tv station. My legacy is in great hands! Yes, it was totally worth it. 


Friday I was absolutely exhausted. We were CRAZY at the running store and that included already working my full time job. I came home and slept almost 11 hours. 

Saturday I needed to run. I had to run back to back days. I jumped on the treadmill for three miles and felt super good! Even though my watch was REALLY off, it's nice to be able to use it indoors. 


To say I was excited about my long run on Sunday might be an understatement. The weather was going to be beautiful and I could just take my time. Well, it sucked. There is no way around it. My legs were shot. I ran out of water. My hip was KILLING me. Just so much bad. 

When I got back to my car I sat on the ground and thought about it. Why am I beating myself up? I just got to be outside for an hour and a half in this beautiful weather (68 degrees and sunny) and I could run nine miles. I also ran back to back days for the first time since the marathon in January. 


In total I had three workouts that totaled 20 miles. I have 61.3 miles for March!

Next week is the 7k/half marathon in Atlantic City, New Jersey. It should be a fun weekend all around. I get to spend a few days with my family then join the girls in Jersey. 

It is also Wrestlemania week!! It should be a great weekend all around!
