Why You Gotta Be So Rude?

Is it just me or is the general population incredibly rude right now? I don't know if it's because it's spring, full moon hangover or what. It's becoming a problem and I think we all need to check ourselves.

I'm not saying I'm perfect, but I'm at least aware of when I'm miserable. In that case I remove myself from the public and sit on my couch. People recently have been so demanding and just off. It really hurts my faith in humanity.

For example, the other day we were at Arby's and some lady was losing her mind because she didn't get her shake. I was going to freak out on her. They were busy and it was freezing outside. Luckily my husband noticed me reaching my boiling point and told me to go sit down. You see they are busy, what possesses you to act like a brat? Especially since this woman had children. What are you teaching them?

I'm also reaching a boiling point with people who ask for help and insist I'm wrong. I will NEVER claim to know something when I don't. I will ask tons of people if needed to get you the answer you are looking for. Do not ask me "Are you sure?" Or my favorite, "Well when will someone else be here so I can ask them?"

What I'm trying to say here is, we all need to relax and take a deep breath when we are out in public. This is a huge time of year for seasonal workers and they are learning to help you out. Please bear with them and I promise your day will continue on as scheduled. If you are in such a rush or just in a terrible mood, don't go out. Do not aggravate the general public, or me. Please don't aggravate me.

Go ahead, let it out. What rudeness have you encountered lately that has really bothered you? I want to know!

  1. I've been experiencing the exact same thing lately-especially with drivers around where I live, there have been several instances where they speed up just to make sure they get through the intersection/make their before I cycle or run by--it's just so awful to think that people actually thing where they are headed (usually a grocery store or home) is more important than someone's life. We all just need a little more patience and kindness in this world!

  2. You already answered it: It's the full moon. I'm such a huge believer that people are straight-up bat$*#t during this phase. My husband thinks I'm nuts for thinking so, but he's not an elementary school teacher like me.:)

Nuts to them, girl. You do you.

  3. O M G! Yes, Yes, and Yes! I couldn't help but smile once I read your opening line. Although it's not 100% true, I have been known to say "I hate people" on a frequent basis and it's simply because sometime people don't think before speaking. I'm glad we are kind of on the same page here...

    1. Lara you are not alone. Filters need to be given out or people just need to remember the golden rule.

  4. I was *just* thinking there must be a full moon because people have been acting crazy! Just today I saw a car stopped on the street near my street blocking traffic. A man and woman had gotten out of the car and were just yelling at each other in the middle of the street!
