Happy Friday everyone! We survived the first week of 2017! I am so excited for all of my friends running in Disney this weekend. It's such a magical adventure! For this weeks Five Things Friday I am linking up with Running On Happy and Fairytails and Fitness for this post.
The topic this week is things I'm looking forward to in the new year!
1. Disney Trips - We are going to Disney World four times in 11 months! I don't think I can express how excited I am! We are going for Princess Weekend in February, my birthday in June, Wine and Food festival in October and then marathon weekend in January 2018!
2. My Best Friends Wedding - I am so excited that my best friend is getting married! We have been friends since high school and she was in my wedding as well. She is not only getting marries but bought a house and I have loved being able to help her with everything even from across the state!
3. Rock 'n' Roll DC - This has become a yearly tradition at this point. I love the course, the people, the city, EVERYTHING! I cannot wait to spend 13.1 miles with my friends. It has become something I look forward to every year! You can join me for the half and full marathon and save $15 by using promo code RUNSTEFF2016.
4. New Adventures - I am committing myself to a sprint triathlon in 2017. This is frightening and exciting all at once. I can't believe I am actually do it. I am also training for a marathon again (twice) which is something I really cannot believe I am doing again!
5. MY 30TH BIRTHDAY!!! - So it has come to my attention that I might be the only person excited about turning 30. I am thrilled! We are going to Disney and I am going to spend the last day in my 20's and first day in my 30's in the most magical place on earth! Plus, I get out of this terrible age group, which I'm super excited about!
I can't wait to share all of my 2017 adventures with you guys. I am so excited to see you all accomplish all of your goals as well!
What are you most looking forward to in 2017?
So many things to look forward to! I would love to do a sprint triathlon. I've been talking about it for years, but still not yet...
ReplyDeleteI had just decided it was time!
DeleteI would be excited to turn 30! :p
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fun year ahead!
Thanks Wendy!
DeleteWow 4 Disney trips in one year is a lot of mickey Mouse! Enjoy
ReplyDeleteThanks!! We are super excited!
DeleteSo exciting! I don't think I've ever met so many people obsessed with Disney than I have in Pittsburgh! I've only been once when I was about 13. I want to buy a bike this year & perhaps make my big goal for 2018 to do a tri! :)
ReplyDeleteI didn't go to Disney until I moved out here, so I totally get it lol!
DeleteSO excited for your venture into triathlon! It's a challenge that you will really enjoy :) I'm running RnR DC as well! I'm looking foward to my first half ironman-not just the race but the training for it!
ReplyDeleteNew and scary adventures are my favorite! Hope to see you in DC!
DeleteWow it looks like you're going to have an awesome year! My sister and I will be at Disney Princess Weekend so hopefully I'll see you there! And I'm already signed up for RNR DC :)
ReplyDeleteYes! I hope to see you at them both!!
DeleteGoing to Disney is a great way to spend your birthday! This is the first year in many that I have no Disney vacation planned as of right now. That may change at some point though.
ReplyDeleteNever say never lol!!
DeleteYay Sprint Triathlon! I was super excited when I turned 30 too, but everyone else thought I was a weirdo :-)
ReplyDeleteRight!? I had a hard time with 25 so 30 seems to be a breeze!
DeleteWow...Disney four times! That's exciting! We've been there numerous times with our kids, unfortunately I was not a runner then so the Disney races were nowhere near my radar LOL
ReplyDeleteLuckily only two are races so the other two are all fun!
DeleteI LOVED turning 30. We are in good company.
ReplyDelete30 looks so good on you!
DeleteSounds like you have an amazing year ahead. Disney four times?! So jealous! I'm debating about RNRDC... I haven't held up my end of the bargain as a Rock n Blogger through 2016 because I couldn't make it to any of the races. :( Maybe I should redeem myself there!
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday!
I love your goal to do a sprint tri in 2017! I've only done one but I had such a blast & am hoping to fit at least one in this year too! Maybe more!
