Five Things Friday - 2.10

It's Friday!! We got a nice amount of snow yesterday, but it looks like we are in the clear for the weekend. Even a little warmer! As a non-winter person, these random days with snow really mess with me.

I am linking up with Running On Happy and Fairytales and Fitness for this weeks Five Things Friday. The topic this week is love. Well, let's talk about five products I love for winter running! These five things really helped me train this winter, and I don't know what I would have done without them!

1. Oiselle Power Stretch Earband - I bought this last year and since I got injured I really didn't get a chance to use it! I do not like wearing hats to run, and I knew I had to wear something. This earband has a light fleece lining which not only keeps me warm, but stays in place! I wear it all the time.

2. Pearl Izumi Flash Insulator Jacket - I bought this jacket on super clearance. I knew I was going to be training hard in the winter, and that I didn't want to wear a million layers. Well, I hit the jackpot with this find! I wear one long sleeve shirt under this coat in ANY WEATHER and I am perfectly toasty! It fits great, has thumb holes, and the bright colors help me feel super safe. I am so glad I bought this coat.

3. New Balance Heat Tights - The moment I tried these pants on, I bought them. I should have gotten two pairs. I have been LIVING in these pants all winter. I only need to wear one pair of pants when its really cold. It's amazing! There are also two side pockets, one zippers. If I get a little warm, I unzip the pocket and let some air in! If you are looking for that perfect pair of winter running tights, this is it!

See, all three and Kelsey dying.

4. Qalo Ring - I do not wear jewelry while I run. At all. Most of winter I do not wear my wedding rings at all because my fingers are so small they just spin. When I got my Qalo ring as a surprise for my husband at RnR Las Vegas, I knew this would be an awesome choice. I have not taken it off since. It doesn't move. I don't have to worry about losing it, and now I can wear my ring while I run!

5. PRO Compression Elite Marathon Socks - I picked up my first pair of the elites a few months ago. The difference between the elites and the regular marathon socks is the added padding on the heel and toe, along with targeted calf support. For some reason, these socks are warmer than my trusted wool socks. It has been awesome! I need more pairs for sure, not just for winter but all year round! If you want to try them out for yourself use promo code PRO17 to save on your own pair!

You can see the extra support in the calf!

We have almost made it through the toughest part of winter. If you have been looking for that one last piece of winter gear, hopefully these five things will help!

What is one piece of winter running gear you cannot live without?

  1. Ive thought about getting those rings because I dont like to run with jewelry. A few years ago I fell while running an broke my finger/scraped up my hand where my wedding rings would have been- and thank goodness I wasn't wearing them that day. Ever since then i won't run with them on just in case.

  5. This year I am loving my Athleta lined tights. They are so warm, they block the wind, and they look good.

  10. I've never heard of the Qalo ring! I actually always wear my wedding ring when I run. Although one time I LOST IT. It got stuck in my gloves and I ended up finding it in there a couple days later! Luckily it is just a plain band so not expensive... but still obviously very sentimental!

  11. I have two QALO rings and I love them! It's a rarity to wear my actual wedding rings these days.
