Five Things Friday - Goodbye 29!

Well, today is my last day in my 20's! I feel like I have been saying this forever, but the time is finally here! I wanted to make sure I closed out my 20's with a bang, and I think I did an awesome job of making some memories during 29.

I'm linking up with Running on Happy and Fairytales and Fitness for this weeks Five Things Friday. I am talking about five of my favorite things from 29. I'm sure I will miss something, because I did a lot, but these are five that really stick out.

1. I spent the first day of 29 with some of my best friends from college as we finished up our week at the beach. The next day (my second day of being 29) I went to the wedding of one of my best friends from high school with all of my high school friends. I literally got to spend two days with a large group of my favorite people. It was amazing!

2. I was super lucky to run a bunch of races in a bunch of places and meet some incredible people. From the end of June 2016 to now I ran nine half marathons and a marathon in nine states. The amount of people I met in that time in amazing and memories I will never forget.

Remember that time I ran with Meb?

3. I got to renew my wedding vows with my husband three miles in to Rock 'n' Roll Las Vegas. That was such cool experience and something not everyone gets to do.

4. I got to meet Seth Rollins! As a life long wrestling fan I was so excited when my husband told me I was going to be sitting front row at a live event. I was even more excited when the man himself was walking around the ring and let me not only get a picture with him, but touch him! I will NEVER forget it.

5. I think of any running accomplishment I had in 29, the biggest one is my 14 minute course PR at the Pittsburgh Marathon. Being one minute off of my marathon PR was one thing, but doing it after everything that was going on with my health was literally the greatest way I could have closed out 29. I am grateful for the opportunity and the support and the entire weekend showed me the true meaning of community.

Thank you all for being on this journey with me! I am so looking forward to what is to come. Cheers to 30!
