Tunes Tuesday - 9.5

Welcome to the Tunes Tuesday link up. I co host this link up with Kim from KookyRunner and Janelle from Run With No Regrets. If you are new to the link up all of the information can be found here. We hope that you will join us!

You can join in any week you would like! I am going to be doing a post every week of the month, so I can share a bunch of tunes in the same topic for you all! The topic for September is pump up jams.

I like taking you all back with my weekly tunes selections. When I was a much younger Steff I was a cheerleader. We would go to competitions and cheer at football games. In the summer we would learn a bunch of different routines that we could use through the year. Those songs were always so catchy. To this day (almost 20 years later) I still listen to some of those tunes. I decided to share a few of them with you this week!

"5 6 7 8" - Steps

"Twilight Zone" - 2 Unlimited

"Mortal Combat" - Immortals

"No Limit" - 2 Unlimited

"Cotton Eye Joe" - Rednex

"I Like To Move It" - Reel 2 Reel
*Fun fact - this is the song from my first competitive cheerleading routine!*

"Be My Lover" - La Bouche

If you aren't dancing along with these jams, you need to check your pulse! I'm so pumped right now! I cannot wait to see what you guys have thought of for this months topic. Make sure you add your Tunes Tuesday posts to the link up below! Remember, you have all month to join the link up!

  1. Oh this post took me way back. I was a cheerleader in high school and recognize so many of these songs. Cotton Eye Joe is STILL my jam, lol

  3. Ah Cotton Eye Joe! Now, that was a fun song and brings back memories of dancing at the 18+ bars in my first couple years of college.

  5. Oh I'm definitely dancing along to "I Like To Move It" right now. And Cotton Eye Joe is another great classic. I think I might add both of these to my Chicago Marathon playlist. Thanks for the suggestions!

  6. You are definitely right that someone needs to check their pulse if they are not moving after that. I had forgotten how great 2 Unlimited was at pump up jams. And who doesn't like to move it?
